ICPF to Promote Corrugated Packaging Careers to Students on 20 University Campuses in February

Last year's 2019 Teleconference Panelists, Taylor Jensen (MSU May 2019 grad & Landaal Packaging new hire),
Greg Hall (Hood Container) and Jeff Turner (Pratt Industries), address student questions from each of the participating campuses.

This coming February 27th, ICPF will conduct its annual Teleconference on The Business of Corrugated Packaging & Displays and the Career Opportunities. Over 500 packaging science, graphic design, marketing & sales, supply chain management, packaging design, business, industrial & chemical engineering, and other students and faculty on 20 college campuses will be participating. This annual event is not a webcast, but a live video conference utilizing professional WKAR TV personnel and TV broadcast equipment at central Michigan’s PBS studios for two-way interactivity.

After their presentation, industry panel speakers, Bryan Hollenbach (Green Bay Packaging) and Rich Ford (Packaging Corporation of America), as well as student moderator Erin Wilson (VA Tech packaging systems & design major graduating in May ’20, and former student intern for ICPF, AICC, Pratt Industries and Buckeye Corrugated, Inc.), will address live questions from students on each of the 20 participating campuses.

Campuses scheduled for participation include Appalachian State University, Bowling Green State University, California Polytechnic State University, Clemson University, Dunwoody College of Technology, Indiana State University, Illinois State University, Lewis-Clark State College, Michigan State University, Millersville University, North Carolina A & T University, North Carolina State University, Pittsburg State University, Rochester Institute of Technology, Rutgers University, University of Florida, University of Texas-Arlington, University of Wisconsin-Stout, Virginia Tech and Western Michigan.

The Teleconference's will conclude with ICPF's Student Design Presentation Competition. Up to four student teams that earlier participated in AICC's 2019 student “design” competition will be tasked to show, tell and sell their entries by explaining the objective, the research conducted, design and other background.
